Hi, I realy like your app, it works great! There is one thing, that makes it it harder to use for my use case: When I open markdown file and close it it will be renamed based on H1 title. This may be usefull for some cases, but in my use case it creates a mess in existing filenames. I'm using Notelane for review and editing of Markdown files in my git repo and filenames should stay unchanged (I'm using GitSync app to clone/sync the repo to iPhone filesystem). If there would be an option to preserve filenames it would be great. This may be related to: https://notelane.canny.io/feature-requests/p/emptied-note-gets-renamed-automatically

I'm loving the app so far ! I have used it to directly view and edit my Obsidian vault, only problem is that my notes use a YAML frontmatter. In consequence the notes preview is only displaying the top of the frontmatter. This makes navigating and finding notes very difficult. Would it be possible to add an option to display the filename instead of the note contents ? Thanks a lot

Bugreport: Markdown-Anchor-Links werden falsch behandelt Titel: Interne Markdown-Links mit # werden als Tags interpretiert und springen nicht zur Zielüberschrift Beschreibung: Die App erkennt gültige Markdown-Anchor-Links wie Quick Start fälschlicherweise als Tags. Zusätzlich führt ein Klick auf solche Anchor-Links nicht dazu, dass innerhalb des Markdown-Dokuments zur entsprechenden Überschrift gesprungen wird. Beispiel: ## Table of Contents Quick Start ## Quick Start Erwartetes Verhalten: Quick Start wird als interner Link erkannt. Beim Klick springt die App zur Überschrift ## Quick Start. Tatsächliches Verhalten: #quick-start wird als Tag interpretiert. Außerdem funktioniert die interne Navigation nicht; ein Klick auf den Anchor-Link scrollt nicht zur passenden Stelle im Dokument. Auswirkung: Markdown-Dokumentationen, README-Dateien und Inhaltsverzeichnisse sind dadurch nur eingeschränkt nutzbar.

There is a use case where a specific note is used (and reused) to quickly jot down stuff, then delete the contents and write down other stuff when needed. However, if it happens that the user empties the contents of such an existing note, then returns to the main screen (notes list), this specific note gets automatically renamed, according to the "New Note Starts With" setting. Steps to reproduce: Go to "Settings -> Notes -> New Note starts with" and check the existing setting. Let's consider it's set to "Date (ISO 8601)"; Open an existing note, e.g. named "Quick notes"; Delete the full contents of the note; Return to main screen. Expected result: The change is saved: the note named "Quick notes" has no contents. Actual result: "Quick notes" note is automatically renamed to "2026-05-31" and receives the name as content within the note, formatted as Heading 1 ("#2026-05-31").

If one opens a note, and wants to edit it, it needs to be clicked on a text area, and the cursor gets placed at the beginning of the paragraph. However, on shorter notes, which don’t cover the entire available screen, one would instinctively press below the text area, as if to continue writing, but such an action results in no change.
